Hot foods in the Aegean Café 

Lamb Plate- Lamb kapama; lamb shank slowly roasted to perfection in a light tomato sauce; served with rice pilaf and pita bread.
 
Chicken Plate- We bake a half-chicken marinated with lemon and Greek spices; served with rice pilaf and pita bread.
 
Souvlaki Plate- Greek shish-kebab; grilled pork loin served with rice pilaf and pita bread.
 
Pastitsio- Greek lasagna; baked macaroni and ground beef covered with béchamel sauce.
 
Spanakopita- Spinach pie; a flavorful blend of spinach, feta cheese, cottage cheese and seasonings built into a bed of phyllo. 


 
Dolmathes- Stuffed grape leaves; ground beef, rice, and seasonings wrapped and cooked in grape-vine leaves; covered with avgolemono (egg-lemon) sauce. 
  

 

Greek Salad- Lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, imported Greek olives, and feta cheese. Served with a dressing (on the side) of olive-oil, red wine vinegar, and spices.
 
Feta & Olive Plate- Mezethes- a great appetizer! Feta cheese and olives.

 Gyro- YEE-RO- A flavorful mixture of beef and spices served on pita bread with tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce. 
 


 

Souvlaki - Grilled, marinated pork loin served on pita bread with tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce.

 

Chicken Gyro- YEE-RO- Grilled, marinated chicken strips served on pita bread with tomatoes, onions, and tzatziki sauce.

 

Saganaki- OPA!! Greek cheese dipped in batter and then fried to a golden brown; then flamed with brandy and topped with lemon juice. 
 
 

Kalamari- Lightly breaded and deep fried to perfection; served with lemon.
 

 
Loukaniko- A hearty Greek sausage grilled with peppers and onions.
 
Hot dog- For those less adventurous.

All of our pastries are hand-made with the finest ingredients, hard work, and love. Our desire is to please you – our friends and patrons.

Bakalava- A Greek classic! Thin phyllo pastry sheets layered with chopped walnuts and cinnamon, topped with honey syrup.
 
Galatobouriko- Baked custard between thin layers of phyllo, with a light syrup.
 
Kataifi- Chopped nuts inside delicate shredded dough strands, with a light syrup.
 
Kkia- A crisp, semi-sweet cookie rolled in sesame seeds.
 
Kourambiethes- A rich shortbread-like cookie dusted with confectioners’ sugar.
 
Melomakarona- Lightly spiced, semi-soft, honey-dipped cookie sprinkled with chopped nuts.
 
Ouzo cake- Lightly spiced nut cake flavored with ouzo liqueur. 
 
Paximathia- Anisette toast.
